Time Saving Products

I'm starting my roundup of Black Friday deals with what I truly believe are life changing products! As I try to become more of a minimalist, the list of things we actually buy gets lower and lower - but let's face it, with a busy work life, husband, and 3 kids at home, we still buy a lot of stuff! But these products are more than just "stuff" - these are products that actually give me back more of what I need most - TIME!

So if you're also short on time (and let's face it, who isn't?) check out these products, and hop on these deals now - we all know Black Friday is the time for the best sales!!
Alright - I'll admit I was a super late convert to the Apple Watch gang. I'm just not a big fitness person and don't really care to track my steps or my heart rate or all the other stuff people were telling me they use it for (no offense at all to those people, I think that's amazing - it's just not something I care to do)! So with all that said - Nathan wanted to buy me one for my birthday, I didn't really want it, but I didn't really have anything else to ask for either - so he got me one. And it has been life-changing. I still don't do any of the fitness things (but for many, this alone is worth the purchase) - but for me it is key for a few things. First (and personally most importantly) - it actually limits the time I spend on my phone. I felt like I was always attached to my phone making sure I didn't miss any calls from the girls' daycare or the babysitter or my husband - or an important email from my boss. But in checking my phone for those things, it then easily led to "let me check Instagram really quickly" and then Facebook, and then twitter, and then I've wasted 20 minutes on absolutely nothing. With my watch, I am get my phone calls and text messages to my wrist - and can easily glance quickly and see if I need to answer or respond immediately or not. When I do have to respond to a text - I easily just dictate it and hit one button to send - the dictation feature is amazing! I've also set up a VIP list for my email - only emails from a handful of important people pop up via notifications to my watch - then all the other emails I just check once or twice a day. I also have started using my calendar all the time for meetings, events, and due dates, and I've set it up to give me a reminder a half hour before and that at the time of the event - incredible when I have way too many things going on to possibly remember everything. For days that I really feel like I'm going to miss a deadline or something on my to-do list I literally set an alarm for it and can continue hitting snooze until I do it! I also love that I can easily ping my phone to find out where it is (I lose it at least 3 times daily - so I save time not having to search the house for it lol). These things alone have seriously been life changing. Love my watch. I have the 38mm pink watch with the band from Apple, nothing fancy!

Y'all. This product!!! Let's just first say - obviously the "fastest" dinner is takeout or reheating a frozen bag of something from Trader Joe's (and I do this way more often than I'd like to admit). BUT. When I do cook - this thing is amazing - not only can you chop everything in it (saving tons of time) - you can also cook in it (I'm all about using less dishes) - and then you can even throw some soap and water in it and have it basically clean itself. All completely unsupervised - so I can basically just play with the girls while this thing cooks our dinner. It's on sale for Black Friday from the original $599 to $299 (50% off)! Make sure to watch the video on the page - you're going to be sold just like I was!

(The above link takes you to Amazon which is having a huge sale - the ones in the text below take you to Target which is also having a huge sale - sale prices are the same)!
I have the Roomba 980 Vacuum Cleaning Robot and it has seriously been INCREDIBLE. I set it to vacuum pretty much every other day - and I usually turn it on in the morning before the girls are up or during nap time on the weekends (since Elli is terrified of it lol)! I do have to make sure there's nothing on the floor that it can get stuck on (curtains, throws, etc.), and then let it go to work while I spend my time doing something better. With so many people at home it's impossible for our floors to stay clean, but this baby has my back and is my little helper around the house. My exact model is on sale for Black Friday ($100 off), but honestly it's not a huge discount for how much the original price is. I personally think if you're considering buying a Roomba - going with a model like the 690 (orig $375) that is also $100 off is a great entry point! You seriously won't regret it.

I bought one of these as a stocking stuffer for Nathan last Christmas and let's just say I'm buying one for myself this year! If you're the type to misplace your keys (or have lots of little wandering hands in the house who steal your keys) - this little tracker let's you easily find whatever it's attached to! If you're on top of things and never lose anything then this won't be saving you much time - but if you're like me and spend the last 10 minutes before leaving the house looking for your misplaced keys - this will give you that time back (and your sanity)! You can even buy them in 4 packs!

Alright this one seems a little less life-changing than the others on this list, but if you love cold drinks but don't have 12 hours to keep it in the fridge (and don't want watered down iced coffee) - this gadget is for you! This is the only one on the list I don't personally own but it looks amazing - reviews mention brewing directly into this from a Keurig and in a minute or 2 have ice cold coffee! Also perfect for quickly chilling wine (anyone else always have a hard time finding your favorite wine in the refrigerated section of the store and have to toss it in the freezer - only to forget it in there - face palm). This is usually pretty cost-friendly ($37) but is on sale for Black Friday for $29.99 + free shipping.

DIY Round Photo Display

Happy Sunday all! Last week I shared a sneek peak of a really fun and simple project I made to help personalize our home. I love how it came out, and you guys gave some really great feedback, so I wanted to share a quick DIY with how I made it here!

Here's what you'll need:
~hula hoop
~gold spray paint
~hot glue gun
~faux florals
~fishing line
~mini clothespins
~photographs

It was so easy to put together, and I love how it came out! A few of you brought up the idea of using this to display holiday cards and I think that's such a great idea too!!

Directions:
1. Spray paint hula hoop. Do one side, let it dry, then do the other side.
2. Start gluing the flowers! Just keep adding them on to make a look you like - make sure to add a few leaves and greenery as well!
3. Tie the fishing line to the hula hoop - tie one end, then tie it to the other side - make sure it's taut! I did three lines for mine, but do however many fit the photos you plan on displaying!
4. Attach photos to the line with the clothes pins.

A lot of you asked where to print the pics - you can use any of the fancier companies big on social media, I just printed them at my local Walgreens. I'm sure most local drugstores offer photo printing!

Thanks so much to Esurance for inspiring this post to create a thrifty but oh-so-special project to make our house more of a home!
