This is actually an outfit I snapped some pictures of last month. I wasn't going to share it with you all, not because I didn't like the outfit, but because I thought it didn't fit what my style normally is and what perhaps you've come to expect of me. And then I realized, that's rubbish! Although my style can usually be described as simple and (hopefully) chic, we shouldn't be boxed in by what our usual style is. We can have fun with fashion, and not feel locked down to our styles - this is me having fun with an outfit a little beyond my daily looks, more rocker than anything else I think? Of course, I do always have fun with my style, it's just usually a bit more muted than this.

Vest, Pants & Boots, Charlotte Russe

I actually loved this outfit! It was so casually chic and you look so gorgeous without trying to be!

Very cute!! I agree, we shouldn't be boxed into just one style. I know I have different styles all the time. Sometimes I want to feel girly and the next edgy. It usually changes based on how my mood is that day.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE chambray when it is paired with black, the fur is just a little cherry on top! you look adorable!

I like your vest, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you back!
I know exactly what you mean! There are a few items in my closet I have not worn yet because they are not what I world normally wear, but, I do like them.
ReplyDeleteI might have to revisit those items now!
I love it actually! It shows that not being dressed up doesn't mean you aren't fabulous! You look great!

I think it's great that you mentioned how you weren't sure if you should put this outfit up. I know that I battle with how I dress because I want to be adventurous but then I feel like I should stay in my "comfort zone." I applaud you for going out of your comfort zone and looking great!

Fab vest...and yes, please share all photos because whether you're wearing rocker chic, preppy duds, or boho garments, your personal style will always shine through!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad you decided to share this!! Even if I've come to know and love a certain style from some of my favorite bloggers, it's so refreshing to see something new (on all of us, I think!) and especially when it looks this good!! I love the fur & chambray top combo - if I had any fur at all I would be all over copying this look, haha!
