Weekend Recap

October 10, 2011

What a great two days! I didn't go home to Springfield this weekend, but Dave surprised me and drove here Friday after work! We spent the night eating homemade pizza and watching and dancing to old music videos from our adolescence. I surprised him back with breakfast in bed, then later we grabbed lunch at an amazing Venezuelan restaurant. We had delicious arepas de carne mechada and tajadas (in Puerto Rico we call them maduros), and I drank it all down with a coconut mojito. Then he left so I could have girl time - in the afternoon my best friend arrived, and we went straight for the shopping! I haven't been shopping in so long (besides thrift stores), so I splurged just a tiny bit. Sunday we went to the vintage market, enjoyed the abundant sunshine in the public garden, and I had yummy bubble tea for the first time  (I'd love to know what your favorite flavors are)! The weekend isn't over for some of us (something about some guy "discovering" a place), but for me the fun is. Studying for my neurology final all day today, wish I could be doing my reading like the girl below... instead I'll probably be in the library. I am determined to get some pumpkin frozen yogurt though! Hope you lovelies had wonderful weekends!
